UNIDA is a nonprofit and financially independent higher education institute. Its student population is drawn largely from urban peripheries (approx. 50% of the student body), with a high percentage of women (45%) and black students (70%).
‘Faith in the Future’ is a new scholarship program which seeks to reach out to thousands of students either to enable progression from undergraduate to graduate programs or to broaden access to undergraduate programs. Women, Afro-Brazilians and people from urban peripheries are underrepresented in Brazilian higher education. With your help, ‘Faith in the Future’ wants to invest US$ 10 million in expanding educational opportunities over the next 5 years.
UNIDA has a project to reach 3,800 students in the next 5 years:
-
Graduate Program in Religious Studies – 400 students
-
Undergraduate Program in Theology – 2500 students
-
Graduate Programs (Specialization) – 500 students
-
Continuing Education Courses – 400 students
